SEOUL, March 28 (Reuters) - The following is a summary of major South Korean newspapers on Friday prepared by Reuters in Seoul. Reuters has not checked the stories and does not guarantee their accuracy.

DONG-A ILBO

South Korea voted in favour of a U.N. Human Rights Council resolution seeking to extend a one-year mandate of the international body's rapporteur for North Korea. Seoul had abstained in the previous years.

South Korean exports to Chile have increased six-fold since the two countries signed a free trade agreement four years ago, according to a report from the Korea Trade-Investment Agency.

CHOSUN ILBO

South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan will be hit the hardest in Asia if the U.S. economy falls into a recession, a report from the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) said.

HANKYOREH

The amount of private debt increased 10 percent in 2007 compared to a year ago, reaching 739 trillion won ($748.5 billion), according to the Bank of Korea.
