The South Korean government expressed strong disapproval to China regarding violent acts by Chinese protesters during the Olympic torch ceremony Sunday, according to a foreign ministry spokesman.
South Korea's top 30 companies plan to invest a combined 96 trillion won ($96.36 billion) this year, a rough 27 percent jump from last year, and increase new hiring by 18 percent, the Federation of Korean Industries announced in a meeting with President Lee Myung-bak Monday.
