SEOUL, April 21 (Reuters) - The following is a summary of major South Korean newspapers on Monday prepared by Reuters in Seoul. Reuters has not checked the stories and does not guarantee their accuracy.

There are no issues to renegotiate in the Korea-U.S. free trade agreement's automobile sector, President Lee Myung-bak stated in a press conference with South Korean reporters in Washington after holding summit talks with his U.S. counterpart. U.S. Congress members had called for renegotiations in the car sector.

South Korea will privatise the Korea Development Bank as a holding company within the next three years, Financial Services Commission Chairman Jun Kwang-woo said. This will exclude KDB from discussion of creating a mega-bank with two other banks in which the government holds stakes.

President Lee Myung-bak will meet with the heads of top companies April 28 to discuss measures to boost investment, according to sources in the industry.

Sales of chicken have dropped by 35 percent in the face of an outbreak of bird flu across the country, according to major discount stores.

The price of domestic beef has fallen 8 percent, after South Korea agreed to relax import rules on American beef on Friday, according to data from the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (NACF) or Nonghyup.

Samsung Electronics Co (005930.KS: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) has launched 56 nano process DRAM production this month, while Hynix Semiconductor Inc (000660.KS: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) expected to follow with its 54 nano process beginning May, according to sources in the industry.
