Escada examining Primera unit sale -source
MUNICH, Sept 23 (Reuters) - German fashion house Escada (ESCG.DE) is closely examining a possible sale of its Primera unit, a person with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters on Tuesday.
Escada sells mid-priced brands apriori, BiBA, cavita and Laurel through Primera AG, which recorded a steep drop in nine-month earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) to 1.5 million euros ($2.2 million) from 16.3 million in the same period last year.
Escada would not sell Primera at any price, the source said.
Escada declined to comment.
Chief Executive Bruno Saelzer, the former head of Hugo Boss (BOSG_p.DE) who took over in July, is planning to further restructure the fashion group, which on Tuesday lowered its full-year outlook for the third time this year. (Reporting by Christian Kraemer; Writing by Eva Kuehnen)
