Sherwin-Williams posts lower quarterly profit
ATLANTA, April 22 (Reuters) - Sherwin-Williams Co (SHW.N: Quote, Profile, Research) reported lower first-quarter profit on Tuesday as weak sales to consumers and residential repaint professionals and rising costs hurt results.
Earnings came to $77.9 million, or 64 cents a share, compared with $111.8 million, or 83 cents a share, a year earlier. (Reporting by Karen Jacobs, editing by Gerald E. McCormick)
