Egypt's El Sewedy Cables 9-month net falls 29 pct

CAIRO, Nov 15 (Reuters) - Egypt's El Sewedy Cables, the largest Arab cable maker by market value, posted a 29 percent decline in 9-month net profit on Sunday to 549.8 million Egyptian pounds ($101 million).

The firm said that total cable sales volume rose 14 percent to 94,821 tonnes in the period, while prices decreased 17 percent. Revenues dropped 24 percent to 6.82 billion pounds. (Writing by Cynthia Johnston)
