Indonesia's Bukit Asam '07 profit up on coal price
JAKARTA, Feb 5 (Reuters) - Indonesian coal miner, PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam Tbk PTBA.JK, said on Tuesday its unaudited net profit rose more than 56 percent in 2007, boosted by higher coal prices, and targeted higher production in 2008.
Eko Budhiwijayanto, Bukit Asam's corporate secretary, said the firm planned to produce 9.3 million tonnes of coal this year, up from 8.5 million in 2007, while exports were expected to reach 4.7 million tonnes compared to 3.9 million tonnes last year.
