Ukraine can cope with 50 pct gas reduction

KIEV, March 4 (Reuters) - Ukraine is able to cope with even a 50 percent cut in gas supplies from Russia, the country's state gas company Naftogaz said on Tuesday.

"At the moment, the situation is not critical," Naftogaz spokesman Valentyn Zemlyansky told reporters. He said conditions were helped by sufficient reserves and mild weather. (Reporting by Pavel Polityuk, Writing by Ron Popeski)
