Shell sees progress in resuming Nigeria oil output
LONDON, May 9 (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell (RDSa.L: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Friday it was making progress in bringing back its shut-in production in Nigeria, but a force majeure on exports remained in place.
"We are making some progress on the ground. But there are no significant changes to output yet and repairs are still ongoing," a company spokesman said.
A Shell spokesman on Tuesday said some production could be restored within days.
About 164,000 barrels of Bonny Light crude production, or about 40 percent of the Anglo-Dutch major's equity oil output in the West African country, is shut-in due to militant attacks. (Reporting by Randy Fabi; editing by James Jukwey)
