LONDON, June 10 (Reuters) - Italian energy firm Eni (ENI.MI) is expected to declare a force majeure on Nigerian Brass River crude exports, trading sources said on Tuesday.

Traders said about 45,000 barrels of Brass River production was lost at the weekend. But they did not elaborate further as to why the company is taking such action.

Eni was not immediately available to confirm the figure or comment.

The normal Brass River production level is about 200,000 bpd. (Reporting by Randy Fabi and Ikuko Kao)
