C.Asia gas prices at Euro levels from '09 - Gazprom
MOSCOW, March 11 (Reuters) - Russian gas export monopoly Gazprom (GAZP.MM) said on Tuesday gas prices from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan will be at European levels from 2009.
"From 2009 the sale of natural gas will be the same as European prices," Gazprom said in a statement. It did not specify the price.
Gazprom charges Europe, which buys a quarter of its gas needs from Russia, an average of $260 per thousand cubic metres and has said it expects prices to rise to over $350 this year. (Reporting by Amie Ferris-Rotman)
