TELEFONICA (TEF.MC)
Telefonica wants to launch an anti-crisis package of phone services in which the fixed monthly charge would be eliminated for one year, El Economista reported. El Pais reported however that the CMT had already rejected the measure.
IBERIA (IBLA.MC), BRITISH AIRWAYS (BAY.L)
The planned merger between the two is on hold after the period in which they had agreed to integrate expired on June 30, despite having decided some details of the tie-up, El Economista reported, citing sources familiar with the situation.
SACYR (SVO.MC)
A consortium led by Sacyr Vallehermoso and Impregilo of Italy submitted the best bid on a contract for the largest chunk of a project to expand the Panama Canal, the Canal Authority said on Wednesday.
The consortium submitted a $3.12 billion bid.
