Russia watchdog sets fines on Rosneft, LUKOIL
MOSCOW, Dec 24 (Reuters) - Russia's anti-monopoly service fined the country's top oil companies Rosneft (ROSN.MM) and LUKOIL (LKOH.MM) a total of more than $100 million for fixing prices of refined products, the watchdog said on Wednesday.
The Federal Anti-Monopoly Service (FAS) said last month Rosneft and LUKOIL had used their dominant market positions to set and maintain high prices for jet fuel, gasoil and gasoline. [ID:nLH182545]
FAS spokesman Sergei Noskovich said the fine for Rosneft would amount to 1.5 billion roubles ($53 million) and for LUKOIL 1.44 billion ($51 million). (Reporting by Vladimir Soldatkin; Writing by Maria Kiselyova; Editing by David Holmes) ($1=28.33 Rouble)
