Putin sees France's Total in new projects in Russia

MOSCOW, June 24 (Reuters) - French energy major Total (TOTF.PA) may invest $1 billion with Russia's Novatek in gas exploration on the Yamal peninsula, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said after meeting with the head of Total.

Putin also said that Total may take part in future stages of another huge Russian gas development, Shtokman, led by Russian gas export monopoly Gazprom (GAZP.MM). (Reporting by Katya Golubkova, writing by Simon Shuster)
