ROME, Oct 8 (Reuters) - Oil prices could fall further with signs pointing to dropping demand, Italian oil company Eni SpA's (ENI.MI) chief executive officer, Paolo Scaroni, said on Wednesday.

He said the company's international growth would be unaffected by the current market turmoil.

Scaroni spoke at a news conference on the signing of an oil and gas exploration accord with Papua New Guinea. He had no estimates for the cost of the project or potential natural gas output.
