NEW YORK, Oct 6 (Reuters) - Targa Resources Inc said late Friday its Venice natural gas processing plant along the U.S. Gulf Coast returned to partial service late last week following an outage caused by recent hurricanes.

The company added, however, that repairs to allow the plant's complete return to service were not expected to be complete until mid-October.

The Venice plant came online and began accepting gas from two receipt points on Oct. 2, a website posting said. "Repairs to allow flows from all other producers were not expected to be completed until mid-October," the posting added.

In mid-September, Targa said repairs to some of its Gulf Coast facilities in the wake of Hurricane Ike could take five weeks or longer.

The company did not provide information on the status of its other Gulf Coast plants.

More than 30 natural gas processing plants shut along the Gulf Coast from Ike or Hurricane Gustav, the U.S. Department of Energy said following the storms.

Targa has a publicly traded master limited partnership with Targa Resources Partners LP (NGLS.O). (Reporting by Eileen Moustakis)
