NEW YORK, Jan 9 (Reuters) - A power outage on Tuesday afternoon shut all units at Valero's 275,000 barrel per day refinery in Aruba, a company spokesman said in Wednesday.

"All units are off line," said Bill Day, a spokesman for the refiner, adding it takes several days to implement the restart process.

Valero said late last year it was looking to sell the refinery, which makes no finished fuels for U.S. markets.

Valero bought the refinery in 2004 for $465 million from El Paso Corp.

Day said he had no restart time but noted it took two weeks for the refinery to restart after a similar power outage in October. (Reporting by Janet McGurty; Editing by John Picinich)
