Enterprise sticks to mid-May on Independence Hub
NEW YORK, May 13 (Reuters) - Enterprise Product Partners LP (EPD.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz), majority owner of the Independence Hub gas platform in the Gulf of Mexico, said Tuesday it still expects the platform to resume operations during the first half of May.
"The last update we provided was on April 28th, which said mid-May. We will certainly communicate if there are any changes," said Enterprise spokesman Rick Rainey.
The company has said it would not comment on day-to-day repairs on the deepwater platform, which has a full production capacity of about 1 billion cubic feet per day, or about 12 percent, of U.S. offshore gas production in the gulf.
It had been producing an average of about 900 million cubic feet per day prior to an early April shutdown when a leak was discovered on the associated Independence Trail gas pipeline. (Reporting by Eileen Moustakis and Joe Silha; Editing by Christian Wiessner)
