Chevron reports El Segundo refinery flaring -filing

HOUSTON, Oct 25 (Reuters) - Chevron Corp (CVX.N) reported flaring at its 279,000 barrel per day (bpd) Los Angeles-area refinery in El Segundo, California, on Saturday, according to a notice filed with California pollution regulators.

Chevron began a planned overhaul on Oct 14 of the El Segundo hydrocracking complex. The California regulatory notice said the flaring was from the refinery's Isomax flare. Isomax is Chevron's name for the El Segundo hydrocracking process. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by Diane Craft)
