S.Korea's Hyundai E&C wins $301 mln Qatar orders

SEOUL, March 23 (Reuters) - South Korean builder Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co Ltd (000720.KS: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) said on Sunday it had won a combined $301 million in orders to build substations and power cables in Qatar.

Hyundai said in a statement that it would construct seven substations in 30 months and power cables in 23 months.

The company said it had won a combined $1.5 billion in overseas orders so far this year. (Reporting by Cheon Jong-woo; Editing by Ramthan Hussain)
