Apache says fire is out at its Australia gas plant
SYDNEY, June 5 (Reuters) - Apache Corp (APA.N) said a fire at its Australian Varanus Island gas plant had been extinguished, two days after an explosion at the facility knocked out about a third of Western Australia state's supply of gas.
Apache also said one of its priorities was to minimise the downtime in resuming supplies of gas to its customers, mainly industrial users in the state's mining belt. (Reporting by James Regan)
