Chevron says starts Tengiz field expansion

NEW YORK, Jan 29 (Reuters) - Chevron Corp (CVX.N) said on Tuesday its affiliate Tengizchevroil LLP has launched the first phase of expansion at the Tengiz oilfield in Kazakhstan.

This initial expansion of 90,000 barrels per day brings Tengizchevroil's capacity to a total of around 400,000 barrels per day, Chevron said. (Reporting by Ritsuko Ando)
