Total says big Iraq oil deals unlikely in 2009

MADRID, July 1 (Reuters) - The chief executive of French oil major TOTAL (TOTF.PA) said on Tuesday his company was unlikely to sign any big oil deals in Iraq in 2009 but it was on the verge of signing a service contract.

Christophe de Margerie told a press briefing at the sidelines of the World Petroleum Congress that Total was also interested in working with Petrobras (PETR4.SA) in Brazil. (Reporting by Tom Bergin)
