BANGKOK, June 2 (Reuters) - Thailand's benchmark stock index .SETI fell 1.04 percent at the opening bell on Monday amid increasing concerns about domestic political stability after a weekend of tense street protests, analysts said.

At 0301 GMT, the main index was down 8.96 points, or 1.07 percent, after an anti-government group vowed to hold more of the rallies that began in Bangkok a week ago to try to force Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej out of office. [ID:nBKK268711]

Index heavyweight energy stocks .SETEN were down 1.37 percent and the banking sub-index .SETB was down 1.16 percent. ($1=32.45 Baht) (Reporting by Arada Therdthammakun; Editing by Ed Cropley)
