Thai Hot Stocks-Index edges higher; KCE Electronics up

BANGKOK, Aug 13 (Reuters) - Thailand's benchmark stock index .SETI was up 0.95 percent at 649.10 at the midday break on Thursday, extending its gain after Thailand's consumer confidence index for July rose to 66.3 from 65.4 in June. [nBKT001061]
Stocks on the move included:
KCE ELECTRONICS KCE.BK UP ON PLANT RESUMPTION PLAN
Shares in the printed circuit board producer rose 1.7 percent to 1.81 baht after the company said it planned to resume operating a plant on an industrial estate from September due to higher orders. The plant closed temporarily in late 2008.
It also said it aimed for 2009 sales of at least 6 billion baht, compared with 7.6 billion baht a year earlier.

ACL BANK ACL.BK JUMPS ON REPORTS OF STAKE SALE MOVES
Shares in Thailand's smallest lender jumped 5.1 percent to 8.25 baht, and at one point hit 8.35 baht, the highest level since March 9, 2005, after a newspaper said the Finance Ministry would allow investors to start due diligence on ACL's financial position this month.
Previously newspapers have reported China's ICBC (1398.HK)
was interested in investing in the bank and wanted the Thai
government to support a stake purchase.

THAICOM THCOM.BK UP ON HOPES OF INDIA EXPANSION
Thailand's leading satellite operator rose 0.75 percent to 6.75 baht as investors reacted to its profit outlook after the company said it expected to launch its high-speed broadband satellite IPSTAR in India by the end of this year.
The company reported a lower-than-expected net profit of 199 million baht in the second quarter but that was a turnaround from a net loss of 282 million baht a year earlier. [ID:nBKK526905]
