Thai ruling party says to renominate Samak as PM
BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's ruling People Power Party (PPP) will renominate Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej as premier after a court disqualified him for hosting TV cooking shows while in office, a top party official said on Tuesday.
"I insist that our party leader will be the prime minister," Wittaya Buranasiri, chief whip of the six-party coalition led by the PPP, told reporters.
