Thai ruling party plans PM parliamentary vote Friday
BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's ruling People Power Party (PPP) will seek to re-elect party leader Samak Sundaravej as prime minister in parliament on Friday, a party spokesman said on Tuesday.
"My understanding is that will be on Friday," PPP spokesman Kudeb Saikrachang told Reuters after a court ordered Samak to quit after finding him guilty of violating the constitution by hosting TV cooking shows while in office.
