Thai Hot Stocks-Siam Cement hits two-week high, BMCL up

BANGKOK, July 14 (Reuters) - Thailand's benchmark stock index .SETI was up 2.25 percent at 575.18 at 0749 GMT on Tuesday, bouncing back from a six-week low a day earlier.
Stocks on the move included:
SIAM CEMENT SCC.BK AT TWO-WEEK HIGH
Thailand's largest industrial conglomerate rose 5.0 percent to 157.50 baht, its highest since June 30.
BFIT Securities said although the company was likely to report a drop in operating profits, its earnings should recover from the fourth quarter of this year, boosted by new production lines at its petrochemical businesses.

BANGKOK METRO BMCL.BK UP ON POSITIVE OUTLOOK
The subway operator surged 4.8 percent to 0.66 baht due to expectations that the company will benefit from the government's mass transit projects, which should drive up passenger numbers.
Asia Plus Securities said in a note the progress of the new Airport Link construction and other extensions of mass transit would boost the company's passengers to 240,000 per day in 2012 from 170,000 now.
The broker gave a buy recommendation, saying the stock could potentially rise 36 percent this year.

ENERGY, PETROCHEM STOCKS BOUNCE BACK
Improving sentiment in overseas markets helped push heavyweight energy stocks .SETEN up 1.33 percent, recovering from an eight-week low on Monday.
Petrochemical firms .SETPT gained nearly 3 percent after
falling to a 10-week low on Monday, led by a 6 percent rise in
PTT Chemical (PTTC.BK).
A rebound in world oil prices lifted the shares, with crude moving back above $60 a barrel.

BANK STOCKS .SETB UP
The banking subindex rose more than 2 percent after hitting its lowest since June 6 on Monday, led by a 2.6 percent rise in top lender Bangkok Bank BBL.BK, while number three Siam Commercial Bank SCB.BK rose 3.5 percent and fourth-ranked Kasikornbank climbed 2.4 percent.
