Indian shares drop 1.5 pct early on weak Asia

MUMBAI, July 13 (Reuters) - Indian shares fell more than 1.5 percent early on Monday, as investor confidence across Asia was hurt by worries about the health of the global economy.

At 9:56 a.m. (0426 GMT), the 30-share BSE index .BSESN was down 1.3 percent at 13,332.34 points, with 28 stocks declining, after falling to 13,287.08.

The 50-share NSE index was down 1.4 percent at 3,949.05. (Reporting by Pratish Narayanan)
