Indian shares pare losses after falling 2 pct

MUMBAI, Aug 12 (Reuters) - Indian shares pared some losses after falling 2 percent in late morning trade on Wednesday, as data showed India's June industrial output grew a faster-than-expected 7.8 percent. [ID:nBMA005570]

At 11:52 a.m. (0622 GMT), the 30-share BSE index .BSESN was down 1.6 percent at 14,829.70 points, with 27 stocks declining, after falling to as much as 14,770.09 earlier.

The 50-share NSE index was down 1.7 percent at 4,396. (Reporting by Pratish Narayanan; Editing by Himani Sarkar)
