CITIGROUP

Citigroup Inc (C.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) named Carl Levinson as its head of productivity improvement and re-engineering, according to an internal memo. Since September 2005, Levinson has served as executive of Citi's consumer lending group, which includes CitiMortgage, CitiFinancial Auto, Citi Home Equity and The Student Loan Corp.

PIPER JAFFRAY

Piper Jaffray said Michael Brinkman has joined the investment banking team to expand its health care practice on the West Coast. He will be based in the Palo Alto office.

WILLIAM BLAIR

William Blair & Co named nine new principals to the firm: Michael Abrahamson for institutional sales and trading; Daniel Daul and Jonathan Skinner for corporate finance; Kyle Harris, Jack Murphy and Corey Tobin for equity research; Mark Leslie and Ken McAtamney for investment management; and John Salvino for private client advisers.
