HK shares open down 5.2 pct as HSBC plunges

HONG KONG, Dec 2 (Reuters) - Hong Kong shares will open 5.2 percent lower on Tuesday, tracking a slide in global stocks on signs of a deepening economic slump and after weak U.S. economic data.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI was indicated to open 735.82 points lower at 13,373.02, with heavyweight HSBC (0005.HK) plunging 5.4 percent to open at HK$79.85.

The China Enterprises Index of top locally listed mainland Chinese firms .HSCE will open down 5.7 percent at 6,972.96. (Reporting by Donny Kwok; Editing by Anne Marie Roantree)
