HK stocks close down 1.9 pct; worst loss in 3 wks
HONG KONG, Oct 27 (Reuters) - Hong Kong stocks closed down 1.86 percent on Tuesday, the biggest one-day loss for the main index in more than three weeks, as local developers stumbled after the central bank moved to curb a faster rise in property prices.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index fell 420.14 points to 22,169,59, retreating from a 14-month high on Friday. Hong Kong financial markets were shut on Monday for a public holiday.
The China Enterprises Index of top locally listed mainland Chinese stocks was down 1.28 percent at 13,145.59.
Among Hong Kong developers, Sino Land (0083.HK) fell 5.37 percent and Henderson Land (0012.HK) slid 4.34 percent.
