HONG KONG, March 8 (Reuters) - Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China Ltd (2318.HK: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) (601318.SS: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) said its board would meet on March 19 in Shenzhen to consider and approve 2007 results and a possible final dividend.

The company announced the meeting's agenda in a statement late on Friday.

The China's second-largest life insurer had said in January that it estimated net profit more than doubled last year.

The possibility of good earnings and dividend have soothed investors' concerns a bit after Ping An shareholders on Wednesday approved an offer of new shares and bonds that could raise about $17 billion in potentially the world's sixth largest fund-raising.

Shares in Ping An Insurance had shed almost a third of their value since it announced plans in mid-January to flood the Shanghai market with shares and convertible bonds. Investors were worried that their holdings would be diluted and expressed concerns that there were no clear plans for the capital.
