Indonesia's Jasa Marga gets 1.2 trln rph in loans
JAKARTA, April 30 (Reuters) - Indonesian toll road operator, PT Jasa Marga Tbk (JSMR.JK), said it has received 1.2 trillion rupiah ($130.2 million) in loans from local banks to help finance capital spending this year and to refinance debt.
Finance Director Reynaldi Hermansjah said late on Tuesday that the banks providing the loans included PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI.JK) and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI.JK).
"We prefer to get bank loans instead of issuing bonds because market conditions are not conducive," Hermansjah said.
In the first quarter, Jasa Marga's net profit soared to 189 billion rupiah from 14 billion a year ago, while its revenue climbed by 40 percent to 799 billion rupiah.
The company is aiming to boost its revenue by around a quarter to 3.26 trillion rupiah in 2008, while analysts polled by Reuters Estimates expect the company to book 3.13 trillion rupiah revenue this year.
Jasa Marga should benefit from the government's drive to revive the country's ailing infrastructure plan to construct many toll roads to boost growth in Southeast Asia's largest economy. ($1=9,215 rupiah) (Reporting by Nury Sybli, writing by Harry Suhartono, editing by Ed Davies)
