ZURICH, Feb 10 (Reuters) - Credit Suisse (CSGN.VX) showed a profit of 8.2 billion Swiss francs ($7.43 billion) for 2007 and remained profitable in the final quarter, Swiss newspaper Sonntag reported on Sunday, two days ahead of the bank's scheduled publication of results.
It made a profit of around 1 billion francs in the fourth quarter, the paper added, citing what it called a "safe source".
A Credit Suisse spokesman said the company had no comment on the report.
Credit Suisse is due to report results on Tuesday.
In a Reuters poll, the average forecast for Credit Suisse's net income was 8.67 billion francs for 2007 and 1.45 billion francs for the fourth quarter.[ID:nL06638455] [ID:nL06301381] In 2006, Credit Suisse reported full-year net income of 8.28 billion francs.
Switzerland's largest bank, UBS (UBSN.VX), issued a warning on Jan. 30 that it would make a 4.4 billion franc loss for 2007, with a net loss in the fourth quarter of around 12.5 billion francs.
