Citi Europe M&A co-head leaves for Morgan Stanley

LONDON, July 10 (Reuters) - Ian Hart, co-head of European mergers and acquisitions at Citigroup (C.N), will leave for a senior position in Morgan Stanley's UK investment banking group in three months, a Morgan Stanley spokesman said on Friday.

Simon Smith is the current head of UK investment banking at Morgan Stanley (MS.N).

A person familiar with the matter said that Wilhelm Schulz, the other co-head of European M&A at Citi, was likely to become sole head following Hart's departure.

Hart, who had been co-head for about a year, could not immediately be reached for comment.
