LONDON, Nov 28 (Reuters) - Bank of Scotland HBOS.L plans to sell a three-year euro benchmark government-guaranteed bond, IFR said on Friday.

Citigroup, Deutsche Bank, Lloyds and UBS have been mandated to manage the issue, said IFR, a Thomson Reuters publication.

The bank added 1.2 billion pounds ($1.85 billion) to an existing three-year government-backed sterling issue earlier this month.

HBOS first took advantage of a new UK government guarantee on Oct. 29 to sell 3 billion euros ($3.9 billion) of two-year bonds and 600 million pounds of three-year bonds.
