Mexico stocks up on US productivity, jobless data

MEXICO CITY, Nov 5 (Reuters) - Mexican stocks rose sharply on Thursday after U.S. data showed a jump in productivity and a drop in new claims for jobless aid, boding well for economic recovery in the United States, Mexico's top trading partner.

The IPC stock index .MXX rose 1.07 percent to 29,744. (Reporting by Michael O'Boyle; Editing by James Dalgleish)
