HONG KONG, Oct 31 (Reuters Basis Point) - Standard Chartered (STAN.L) is reintegrating its primary and secondary loan distribution teams with immediate effect, a banking source with direct knowledge of the situation said on Friday.

The result will be one loan distribution team handling the selldown of loans in both primary and secondary markets, the source said.

Under the restructuring, David Kempton is moving to Singapore from London to take on a new job as head of loan syndicate and distribution. He starts in the post on Nov. 3.

The restructuring also sees the creation of regional heads of loan distribution in each of the bank's geographical centres, each reporting to the relevant regional head of syndication.

The distribution heads will also have a matrix reporting line to Kempton, who will coordinate global sales activities across primary and secondary loan markets.

The regional heads of loan distribution in each centre will be as follows:

New York - Jim Hughes - reporting to Steve Aloupis, regional head of syndication and head of capital markets

London - Josh Cohen - reporting to Hiren Singharay, regional head of syndication

Dubai - Vivek Gopalakrishnan - reporting to Steve Perry, regional head of syndication and head of project finance syndications

Hong Kong - James Bragg and Joanne Wong as co-heads - reporting to Eric Chan, regional head of syndication

Singapore - Yong Mee Ching - reporting to Pat Waranimman, regional head of syndication

The source said Kempton will act as global head of loan syndicate and distribution. This is a new role that has been created to manage the global distribution process. (Reporting by Stephen Aldred; Editing by Kim Coghill)
