KOSPI closes lower; trading firms, brokerages up

 Foreigners bought a net 41 billion won ($39.21 million) worth
of shares listed on the main board, and local institutions sold a
net 283 billion won. Local retail investors bought a net 180
billion won.
 Decliners outnumbered advancers by 423 to 374, with 82
titles ending unchanged.
 Trade volume stood at 291 million shares worth 4.7 trillion
won, compared with 353 million shares worth 5.6 trillion won on
Thursday.
 The KOSPI 200 June futures index <0#KS:> lost 1.35 points to
234.55 and the KOSPI 200 spot index .KS200 fell 1.17 points to
234.14. The junior Kosdaq .KQ11 market rose 0.29 percent to
649.00.
