Seoul shares give up gains, turn negative

SEOUL, Dec 3 (Reuters) - Seoul shares gave up an early 1.5 percent gain to slip just into the the red in Wednesday morning trade, as some techs including Samsung Elec (005930.KS) and telecommunications issues declined.

Samsung Elec, the world's No.1 memory chip maker, was down 2.86 percent and SK Telecom (017670.KS) retreated 2.15 percent.

The Korea Composite Stock Price Index was down 0.16 percent at 1,021.61 points as of 0113 GMT after an earlier 1,038.41.
