Seoul shares close at 3wk-high; Samsung gains

Local institutions bought a net 147 billion won of shares on
the main board while local retail investors sold a net 286
billion won.

Advancers outnumbered decliners by 605 to 226, with 54 titles
ending flat.

Trade volume stood at 342 million shares worth 5.8 trillion
won, compared with 345 million shares worth 5.4 trillion won on
Wednesday.

The KOSPI 200 September futures index KSU8 rose 4.55 points
to 211.30 and the KOSPI 200 spot index .KS200 gained 4.70
points to 208.34. The junior Kosdaq .KQ11 market went up 1.94
percent to 546.65.
