Seoul shares end lower after rate cut; techs fall
SEOUL, Jan 9 (Reuters) - Seoul shares ended lower on Friday after the Bank of Korea cut base rates by 50 basis points, a move already factored in by the markets, with technology issues leading falls on profit worries as earnings season approaches.
The Korea Composite Stock Price Index ended down 2.05 percent at 1,180.96 points, down from the session high of 1,220.59.
The main index is still up 4.98 percent on the year.
