- A study by research firm DP Info shows that Singapore's construction industry may be in serious trouble as many firms have high debt, little cash and weak profitability.
- Singapore lifted a sales ban on 327 China-made food products that had been imposed following the discovery of melamine in Chinese milk.

- Singapore-listed real estate investment trusts (REITs) are working to refinance debt and have put acquisitions on the backburner. Borrowing spreads for REITs have risen to 200 to 300 basis points from 150 basis points previously.
