Westpac unit sells 175 mln pounds in 18-mth notes

 SYDNEY, Feb 11 (Reuters) - Westpac New Zealand Ltd, a unit
of Australia's Westpac Banking Corp (WBC.AX: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz), has sold 175
million pounds ($343 million) of 18-month notes, a market
source said on Monday.
 The deal details are as follows:
  Issuer:         Westpac New Zealand Ltd
  Facility:       Floating rate euronote
  Amount issued:  STG175 million
  Maturity:       Aug. 14, 2009
  Set date:       Feb. 14
  Coupon:         25 basis points over Libor
  Issue price:    99.957
  Lead(s):        Barclays Capital
  Issuer rating:  AA (S&P), Aa2 (Moody's)
 ($1=0.51 pounds)
