NAB says looking to expand wealth management

MELBOURNE, May 9 (Reuters) - National Australia Bank Ltd (NAB.AX: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) Chief Executive John Stewart said the bank would consider acquisitions to expand in wealth management.

Stewart declined to comment on whether NAB was looking to buy Citi's (C.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) Australian wealth management business, but did not rule it out.

"It's fair to say we do want to expand our wealth management business. Of course we're going to look at opportunities to do that," he told reporters. ($1=A$1.06) (Reporting by Sonali Paul)
