TOKYO, March 3 (Reuters) - Japan's benchmark Nikkei extended losses to 4 percent on Monday, with exporters such as Honda Motor Co Ltd (7267.T: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) hit after the dollar touched a three-year low against the yen on growing fears of a U.S. recession.

At 0132 GMT the Nikkei .N225 was down 3.9 percent at 13,072.44 and the broader TOPIX was down 3.8 percent at 1,273.71. (Reporting by Elaine Lies)
