Japan's TOPIX extends fall on yen, now down 3 pct
TOKYO, March 13 (Reuters) - Japan's broad TOPIX index extended its fall on Thursday, falling 3 percent as the yen hit a 12-year high against the dollar.
Honda Motor Corp (7267.T: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) and other exporters led the fall as worries grew about the strong yen's impact on Japan's export-oriented economy.
At 0333 GMT the Nikkei .N225 was down 2.7 percent at 12,510.45. The TOPIX was down 3 percent at 1,218.13. (Reporting by Elaine Lies)
