PARIS, Nov 3 (Reuters) - France's banks are set for "satisfactory" results for the forthcoming quarters, Bank of France governor Christian Noyer said on Tuesday.

"As of today, we expect wholly satisfactory results for the upcoming quarters," said Noyer, who was speaking at a hearing at France's lower house of parliament.

France's top banks are due to report third quarter results this month, with Societe Generale (SOGN.PA) and BNP Paribas (BNPP.PA) both expected to post higher profits this week.
